STATEMENT OF FAITH
We Believe
1) There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
2) In the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His vicarious and atoning death for the sins of all men, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal, visible, glorious, and imminent return in power and glory.
3) In the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, and His indwelling presence in
every believer where by the Christian is enabled to live aGodly life.
4) That the Bible in its original writing, including both the Old and NewTestaments,
is the inspired and only inerrant, infallible, andauthoritative Word of God and is
our only rule of faith and practice.
5) That every human being is by nature spiritually dead, separated fromGod, and
can be restored, to spiritual life and assurance of salvationonly by repentance
toward God and faith in Jesus Christ as personalSavior by forsaking the life of
sinand serving the true and living God. (I Thess. 1:9-10; John 14:6)
6) In the two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion).
7) In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – those that are saved unto the
resurrection of life and those that are lost unto the resurrection of judgment and
damnation.
8) That the Church is the body and bride of Christ whose duty andprivilege it is to be
His witness before the world in this age.
9) That the true Church is composed of all such person who, throughsaving faith in
Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in
the body of Christ of which He is the head. Only those who are thus members of
the true and invisible Church are eligible for membership in the local church.
10) We believe that the term ‘marriage’ has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. Genesis 2:22-24, Matthew 19:4-6
