A LETTER TO OUR VISITORS
Thank you for your recent visit to Community Church. It was truly our pleasure to worship with you. Community Church is a family of real, friendly and inviting people. We are blending the contemporary with the traditional and teaching the Word without compromise. We invite you to be a part of a new and exciting movement of God’s people. If just visiting, then thanks for coming! Visit as often as you like. A Statement of Faith is available.
Who are we? LCC is a non-denominational body of believers who love the Lord and were led to leave a main-line denomination that was moving far away from Biblical truth. After much prayer, a new church was formed on July 29, 1992 with the name Lincoln Evangelical Church. The name was later changed to Lincoln Community Church in November of 2005.
Who is your Pastor and wife? Pastor Adam and his wife Kelly have recently moved from Council Grove, KS with their children. Adam was working Bi-vocationally as a Pastor and Engineer before feeling the leading of God to move to a full-time pastoral position with us at Lincoln Community Church. Kelly works at home teaching their children and ministering as she is able.
Why does LCC exist? God is calling us to be a non-denominational outreach in Lincoln. One that is attractive and effective in reaching beyond our doors. Lincoln County has great communities with good people; yet, most do not know Christ as their Lord and Savior. If the church is going make an impact then we must help our neighbors see the reality and relevance of the Gospel on their lives. At LCC, we are not trying to reinvent the wheel but we are trying to live in passionate abandon for him, which will look different to some, that neither we, our children, grandchildren or neighbors would wake up and have lost their first love, Jesus Christ. Are you growing in your faith? Are your kids attracted to the church? Want to be a part of something new and exciting? Perhaps, LCC exists for you!
Why did the Lord bring you to visit LCC? Are you hungry for something different? We are looking for singles and families who want to grow in their faith and be used by God. We are not perfect at Community Church – only forgiven! We love the Lord and recognize we are made strong for Christ through our weakness. You and I live in the shadow of Christ’s Return – exciting times! If God is calling you …our doors are open. If you are just visiting then visit as often as you like and pray for this ministry to change lives. May the Lord bless you!
In Christ,
Lincoln Community Church Members
